Advertising Violations include written or verbal statements a housing provider uses to market a service or unit. Statements that are made after the initial transaction is complete may also violate the laws. For example, if a household moves into a rental unit and months later goes to the office to request a repair, an agent who makes a statement indicating a preference or limitation based on protected class may be violating the laws.
